This Privacy Notice sets out what personal information Jiffy Lube collects, for what purposes and your rights in this respect.

What does this Privacy Notice cover?
Jiffy Lube, LLC ("Jiffy Lube", "we", "our" or "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information.
This Privacy Notice (the "Notice") explains what personal information is processed about you; why we are processing your personal information and for which purposes; for how long we hold your personal information; how to access and update your personal information; the rights you have regarding your personal information; and where to go for further information. We may collect and process your personal information when you use services or purchase products from, or interact with, Jiffy Lube, including as:
a. a customer at any Jiffy Lube® Service Center in the United States;
b. a visitor to a Jiffy Lube® website (“Jiffy Lube Website”);
c. a user of a Jiffy Lube, LLC (“JLI") digital application and/or
d. as a participant in a sweepstake, contest, promotion or competition offered by JLI, either alone or with a third party/ies (“Promotion”).
Notice at Collection
As described in more detail throughout this Notice, the following describes the personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and who we share it with:
- At or before the point at which we collect your personal information, we are required to provide you with certain information about our data practices. The following serves as our notice at collection under applicable law.
- Categories of Personal Information Collected: Identifiers; financial information; commercial information; internet or network activity; social media profile information; audio and electronic information; inferences; and sensitive personal information (including account log-in credentials processed for account authentication and precise geolocation where permitted by the user).
- Purposes for Collection: We collect these categories for the purposes described in the “How we use your personal information” section of this Notice, including to provide our products and services, manage your account, send personalized marketing communications, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
- Sale or Sharing: We may sell or share certain categories of personal information, including identifiers, internet or network activity, commercial information, inferences, and geolocation data, with advertising networks, social media platforms, and data analytics providers for targeted advertising purposes. For details, see the “Categories of Personal Information Sold or Shared” section below.
- Sensitive Personal Information: We may collect sensitive personal information as described above. You have the right to limit our use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information.

Personal information we collect
Personal information is information that identifies, relates to, or could be linked, directly or indirectly, with you. We collect your personal information, including information about you as a Jiffy Lube customer and /or visitor to a Jiffy Lube Website or Jiffy Lube administered social media page ("Jiffy Lube Social Media Page"). Below outlines the categories of personal information we may have collected in the preceding 12 months:
- Identifiers, including your name, contact information, gender, vehicle type and other vehicle information and attributes you provide, IP address, email address, and phone number
- Financial information provided by you
- Commercial information, including payment details and purchase history
- Internet or other similar network activity, including IP address, log information, browser type and preferences, location information, purchase history, online identifiers, and details of your interaction with Jiffy Lube Websites or ads
- Social media profile information
- Audio and electronic information including customer service recordings, event photos, and security footage. JLI-managed websites, applications, kiosks, and other JLI-provided digital services do not use facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, biometric templates, or other biometric identifiers. Independently operated franchisee locations may maintain their own camera systems outside JLI-managed services.
- Inferences derived from personal information to create a profile about your individual preferences or characteristics
- Precise geolocation data obtained through your device location, when you permit such collection
From time to time, we may collect sensitive personal information as defined under applicable data protection laws, including: precise geolocation data (only where you have permitted such collection through your device settings); and account log-in credentials (username or email address in combination with a password or security question and answer that permits access to an account), which are processed for account authentication purposes by Salesforce or the relevant account platform You have the right to limit our use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to only those purposes necessary to perform the services or provide the goods you have requested, or as otherwise permitted by law. In most cases, you are in control of the information you choose to provide to us; however, in some cases, your choice not to provide some information may impact your ability to interact fully with a Jiffy Lube product, service, program, website, or application.
Children’s Privacy
The Jiffy Lube Websites are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as practicable. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to Jiffy Lube, please contact us at customercare@jiffylube.com so that we can take appropriate action.
Additionally, Jiffy Lube does not knowingly collect, use, process, sell, or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age without affirmative authorization. For consumers between the ages of 13 and 16, we require the consumer’s opt-in consent before selling or sharing their personal information. For consumers under 13, we require verifiable parental consent.
From what sources do we collect your personal information?
- Information that you provide to us – You may choose to provide personal information, including your name, contact details, or other personal details, when creating an account or interacting with Jiffy Lube or to receive communications or marketing offers from us. If you choose to create a Jiffy Lube user account, a personal profile may be created for you to use and navigate across Jiffy Lube services.
- Information that we obtain through your purchase or use of Jiffy Lube services and products - We may also collect information about how and where you use or purchase Jiffy Lube services and products, including (i) specific products you buy, (ii) amounts spent, (iii) the time and place of the purchases you make, (iv) the payment method you use (including, without limitation, anonymized or masked credit or debit card numbers or RFID card number), and (v) any participation by you in a Jiffy Lube or an affiliate's loyalty program. Such information may include electronic device information, IP addresses, log information, browser type and preferences, CCTV footage, location information, online identifiers to enable 'cookies', and similar technologies.
- Information gathered through external sources - We may collect information about you from publicly available sources or through third parties including but not limited to data brokers and advertising partners. This may include information about your interests, behaviors, and purchases.
- Information gathered through social media pages - When you communicate with us through a Jiffy Lube Social Media Page (for example, when you comment on, share or react to a post, upload media, send a personal message, or subscribe to a Jiffy Lube Social Media Page), we may receive personal information from your profile.
Why do we process your personal information?
The personal information covered by this Notice are only processed:
- with your explicit consent if legally required,
- to provide our Services such as enabling search functionality to identify and direct you to Jiffy Lube locations,
- where it is necessary to conclude a transaction with you (such as payment, e-receipts or loyalty information),
- for our business purposes described in this Notice, including to provide and improve our products and services, for marketing and promotional purposes (with your consent where required by law), for providing you with offers tailored to your preferences, for detecting and investigating fraud, and for responding to security threats on behalf of Jiffy Lube and Jiffy Lube branded locations (including third-party wholesalers, licensees, franchisees, and retailers who own, operate, or supply such locations), or
- where it is necessary for Jiffy Lube to comply with a legal obligation.
Where the processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This will not affect the validity of the processing prior to the withdrawal of consent. You can opt-out of receiving direct marketing communications at any time by following the instructions set out in each marketing communication or by contacting us.
How we use your personal information
We may process your personal information, in each case using only the categories of personal information reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, to:
- provide our products and deliver our services, and otherwise manage our relationship with you (identifiers such as contact information, date of birth, phone number),
- analyze which products and services may be of interest to you and send you personalized marketing communications or offer you promotions and contests, including digital rewards (identifiers such as contact information, date of birth, phone number),
- enable account management including account verification (identifiers such as contact information, date of birth, phone number),
- support our customer service and development of our products and services,
- perform and analyze market surveys and marketing strategies, or conduct statistical, historical, marketing, or scientific research,
- process transactions or complete purchases (financial information, such as payment details, credit card information),
- provide website (Internet or network connectivity information such as IP address, browsing history),
- provide personalized advertising (Internet or network connectivity information such as IP address, browsing history),
- respond to social media interactions, conduct marketing, and produce analytics (identifiers such as contact information, date of birth, phone number, social media account usernames),
- provide customer service, security, and quality assurance (audio and electronic information such as recordings, photos, and CCTV),
- detect or prevent fraud (identifiers such as contact information, date of birth, phone number, IP address),
- facilitate audits, investigations, dispute resolution or litigation, or insurance claims or other legal or regulatory compliance (identifiers such as contact information, date of birth, phone number), or
- enable a merger or acquisition, or similar corporate transaction.
We do not collect or use personal information for purposes materially different from those disclosed above without providing you with additional notice.
Additionally, specific uses of your personal information are as follows:
Precise Geolocation. When you permit us to collect your precise geolocation details, we may use this geolocation data to help you find the nearest Jiffy Lube Station, to complete your transactions associated with Jiffy Lube Pay and Save, for fraud detection, and where you have permitted marketing communications, to serve you with relevant ads.
Email Tracking. We may use online activity information collected from our email communications, such as whether and when you open emails from us and which links you click, for marketing and data analytics purposes. This email engagement information may also be shared with certain third-party advertising and analytics partners, as described below and in the 'Categories of Personal Information Sold or Shared' section in this Notice, which may constitute 'sharing' of personal information under applicable state privacy laws. You can opt out of email tracking by adjusting your email client settings to disable image loading, or by visiting our 'Your Privacy Choices' page. To unsubscribe from marketing emails, follow the instructions in each email communication.
SMS/Text Messages. If you have opted in to receive text messages from Jiffy Lube, we may send you promotional and transactional text messages related to our services, offers, and appointment reminders. By opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from Jiffy Lube at the mobile number you provide. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Jiffy Lube. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Text messages are sent by or on behalf of Jiffy Lube, LLC, PO BOX 41308 Houston, TX 77040-9998. Your mobile number and opt-in data will not be sold to or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Personal Profiles. Depending on the nature of your engagement with Jiffy Lube, we may combine information provided by you, gathered from third party sources and other Jiffy Lube entities to create a personal profile for you. This enables you to interact with different Jiffy Lube products and services more seamlessly and to develop and provide tailored services and products for your specific interests. We may also use and share with certain third parties, as described below, your profile to identify individuals who have similar interests to you.
Social Media. If you interact with Jiffy Lube through social media, your personal information may be visible to Jiffy Lube and other visitors depending on your privacy settings on the social media platform. You can change your settings or delete any information through the platform. Jiffy Lube reserves the right to access and aggregate information provided by you through its Jiffy Lube Social Media Page for statistics and analytics. For more information on how your personal information is processed on those social media platforms, including any targeted advertising that you may receive, please refer to the social media platform's privacy settings and disclosures. Disclosure of your personal information
We may share your personal information with:
- Other companies within the Jiffy Lube group of companies, including to those outside your state or country of residence,
- Third parties that own, operate, or supply Jiffy Lube-branded retail locations, including wholesalers, licensees, and retailers and their respective authorized agents, professional advisors, third-party business owners (each referred to herein as a "franchisee") and contractors. Most Jiffy Lube locations are owned and operated by independent franchisees. Franchisees may independently access and use customer information for service center operations and local marketing, and their processing may be governed by their own privacy practices. Franchisees and their vendors may conduct local marketing independently where permitted by law. For purposes of applicable privacy law, franchisees that independently collect your personal information at their retail locations (for example, through point-of-sale transactions, in-store service records, or local marketing programs) may act as independent businesses or controllers with respect to that information, and when franchisees determine the purposes and means of processing customer information, they are responsible for their own compliance with applicable privacy requirements. Jiffy Lube, LLC shares the following categories of personal information with franchisees: identifiers (such as name and contact information), commercial information (such as service and purchase history), and vehicle information, for the purposes of providing services, managing customer relationships, facilitating loyalty programs, and local marketing.
- Service providers (who process personal information on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for purposes other than performing services for Jiffy Lube), contractors or sub-contractors (who process personal information on our behalf under contractual terms that include certification and compliance requirements under applicable privacy law), authorized agents, professional advisors, and external auditors,
- Authorized third party companies that may supply products and/or services to users of Jiffy Lube products, services, and loyalty programs,
- A competent public authority, government, or regulator where it is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation or as permitted by applicable law,
- Any person to whom Jiffy Lube proposes to transfer any of its rights or duties,
- As necessary or appropriate to enforce our terms and conditions, and to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, or that of our affiliates, you, or others,
- Service providers, contractors, or sub-contractors involved in advertising or marketing to help promote our products and services and to place interest-based ads on non-Jiffy Lube websites and platforms,
- With an entity to whom JLI proposes to transfer any of its rights and/or duties; including in the event of any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock.
- We may also disclose de-identified, aggregate, or anonymous information about Jiffy Lube Website visitors, Jiffy Lube App users, and service center customers with service providers, contractors, or sub-contractors involved in advertising or marketing. We will not attempt to re-identify anonymized or aggregated information except as permitted by applicable law.
Security of Your Personal Information
We have implemented technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information and our systems from unauthorized access and improper use. Payment card transactions on Jiffy Lube Websites and at Jiffy Lube service centers are processed by certified payment processors in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Jiffy Lube does not store full credit or debit card numbers on its systems. When we disclose your personal information, we have administrative and contractual measures with the recipient designed to ensure that the personal information is processed only for the stated purposes and that adequate levels of protection are in place to safeguard your personal information. These measures include Jiffy Lube's Binding Corporate Rules for sharing among the Jiffy Lube group of companies, which can be found by contacting customercare@jiffylube.com.
Cross-Border Transfers
Your personal information may be transferred to and processed by Jiffy Lube affiliates as well as by service providers in other countries, including WIPRO in India. When your personal information is transferred outside the United States, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, including Jiffy Lube's Binding Corporate Rules for intra-group transfers and contractual data protection obligations with service providers. These safeguards are designed to ensure that your personal information receives a level of protection consistent with this Notice regardless of where it is processed.
Cookies and similar online tracking technologies
Jiffy Lube may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies that collect and store personal information when you visit a Jiffy Lube Website, use a Jiffy Lube App, or otherwise interact with us through a digital platform, including your device information, IP address, and usage activity. We may use this information to improve your experience, remember your preferences, and to serve you personal advertisements. We also enable the use of advertising and social media cookies and similar tracking technologies on Jiffy Lube Websites, including pixels, tags, and software development kits (SDKs) provided by third-party advertising and analytics partners; these technologies may track your online activity across third-party digital platforms that are not affiliated with Jiffy Lube. With such technologies, third-party partners may use your personal information for their own purposes or to display Jiffy Lube advertisements to you on sites and services that Jiffy Lube does not operate. This is commonly referred to as targeted advertising or "selling" and "sharing" under certain consumer privacy laws. Before non-essential tracking technologies (including advertising and social media cookies, pixels, and tags) are deployed on your browser or device, we will obtain your consent through our consent management platform, unless you have already opted out via a Global Privacy Control signal or through our 'Your Privacy Choices' page.
You can control and manage your cookies preferences, including those related to online targeted advertisements, by adjusting your browser settings or by following the instructions on the Jiffy Lube Websites under "Your Privacy Choices", found https://www.JiffyLube.com/privacy-choices. For a detailed list of the specific tracking technologies used on our websites, including their purposes, categories, and durations, please refer to the 'Your Privacy Choices' page at https://www.JiffyLube.com/privacy-choices. Please note that disabling these technologies may impact your use and functionality on the Jiffy Lube Websites. For example, if you reject all cookies, you may not be able to use the Jiffy Lube Websites services that require you to "sign in."
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction of residence, you may have the right to:
- Obtain confirmation that we maintain certain personal information relating to you and verify the content, origin, and accuracy of the personal information we hold about you,
- Access your personal information,
- Request the correction of your personal information,
- Request deletion or portability of your personal information,
- Opt-out of Selling, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising,
- Only have your sensitive personal information, as defined in applicable law, processed with your consent,
- Residents of California may request information concerning the categories of personal information (if any) we disclose to third parties or affiliates for their direct marketing purposes.
- Identifiers (name, contact information, date of birth, phone number): duration of your account relationship plus 5 years, or as required by law;
- Financial information (payment details): duration of the transaction plus 7 years for tax and accounting compliance;
- Commercial information (purchase history): duration of your account relationship plus 7 years;
- Invoice and service transaction records: 7 years total from the date of service;
- Vehicle information and service history: 5 years in active production if the customer visited a Jiffy Lube location within that period, then moved to archive;
- Internet or network activity (IP address, log data, browsing activity): up to 24 months from collection;
- Social media profile information: duration of your account relationship or until you withdraw consent;
- Audio and electronic information: customer service recordings: up to 24 months;
- CCTV footage: up to 90 days;
- Inferences and profiles: duration of your account relationship, refreshed periodically;
- Precise geolocation data: up to 24 months from collection; and
- Sensitive personal information: retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose, or as required by law.
Should you choose to exercise any of your rights as detailed above, we will not discriminate against you by offering you different pricing or products, or by providing you with a different level or quality of products, based solely upon this request. Some of these rights, including the right to correct your information, may be available through self-service on your Jiffy Lube account profile or by following the instructions on communications received (e.g., using the "Unsubscribe" button). You may also use an opt-out preference signal to opt-out of the online sale/sharing of your personal information. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information. When we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we will treat it as a valid opt-out request and will not sell or share your personal information associated with that browser.

The request must provide sufficiently detailed information for verification and to locate the personal information subject to the request. We may not be able to respond to your request if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request. If we need to request further information from you to verify your identity, we will only use that personal information for the purposes of identifying you or that you have authorized the request. In some states, you can designate an authorized agent to make a privacy rights request on your behalf. To submit a request through an authorized agent, the agent must provide: (a) a copy of your signed written authorization designating the agent to act on your behalf, or a valid power of attorney under the applicable state's Probate Code; and (b) proof of the agent's own identity. We may also require you to verify your own identity directly with us and confirm that you authorized the agent to submit the request. If you are an authorized agent registered with the California Secretary of State, please provide your registration documentation in addition to the above. We will comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable and as required by applicable law. If you wish to opt out of targeted advertising, you can follow the instructions above in addition to the instructions under 'Cookies and similar online tracking technologies.' Your request to opt-out of targeted advertising may be linked to your browser identifier, and as such you may have to opt-out on additional browsers or devices you use to access our websites, apps, and services. Please note that opting out of sales, sharing, and targeted advertising may not prevent all promotions and advertisements from being displayed to you, including those that do not rely on targeted advertising techniques, and may limit your ability to receive certain promotions and advertisements.
Retaining your Personal Information. We retain your personal information for only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for collection and use outlined above, or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable law. Our general retention periods, or the criteria used to determine the retention period, for each category of personal information we collect are as follows:
Please note that we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes, to complete any transactions that you began prior to your request, or for other purposes as required or permitted by applicable law, including complying with legal holds, litigation, or regulatory obligations. For example, we may also still need to send you service updates and notifications where such updates and/or notifications are necessary for the proper functioning of the Jiffy Lube digital interfaces or other services that you use or are allowed by applicable law. We may also continue to disclose your personal information to third parties for purposes outside of cross-context behavioral advertising.
Appeals. In certain states, if we refuse to act on a privacy rights request or take action that differs from your request, you have the right to appeal our decision. To submit an appeal, please email us at customercare@jiffylube.com with the subject line 'Privacy Rights Appeal,' or call us toll free at +1 888-467-4355, within a reasonable period after receiving our response. Please include a copy of or reference to the original request and a description of why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will review and respond to your appeal within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 45 to 60 days of receipt) and will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for our decisions. If your appeal is denied, you have the right to submit a complaint to the attorney general or other regulatory authority in your state.

For material changes to this Notice, we will provide notice and obtain consent where required by applicable law before using your personal information for new purposes. You are advised to regularly review this Notice and the last updated date for changes. For significant or material changes to this Notice, we will prominently post such changes on this page.
